Civics Club Celebrates the Signing of Their Peace Day Bill

The 7th grade civics club members took a trip to the state house to see the final step of passing their Peace One Day law when the lieutenant governor, Karyn Polito, signed their bill on Wednesday December 7th, 2016.
Their new law states that on September 21st of every year, there will be a day of peace and ceasefire. This law wouldn’t be a law without Senator Keenan, Mrs. Mary Clougher, Mrs & Mr.Richards from The Martin Richards Foundation, and the Peace One Day Foundation. So, therefore as of December 7, 2016, peace day will be celebrated yearly on September 21st , thanks to the effort of Holbrook Jr,Sr high school students.
