Holbrook’s Musical Presents: An Ordinarily Lovely Day

Holbrook Middle-High School’s musical theater department put on a performance of “An Ordinarily Lovely Day”, a collection of songs and monologues that tell many wonderful, funny, and heartbreaking teenage stories, directed by Kristina Newman. 

Various songs played and were performed include the following: 

  • “A Lovely Night” by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein from Cincerella performed by Adrianna Baker, Isabella Castro, Nayla Charmant, Fabianna Taylor, and Luna Toledo. 
  • “Part of Your World” by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken from The Little Mermaid performed by Gianna Costa. 
  • “Sisters” by Irving Berlin from White Christmas performed by Grace and Kaitlyn Currey. 
  • “I Hate the Bus” by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori from Caroline, or Change performed by Roleesha St Jean. 
  • “Somethings Are Meant To Be” by Mindi Dickstein and Jason Howland from Little Women performed by Adrianna Baker and Alice Mychko. 
  • “Stupid With Love” by Jeff Richmond and Neil Benjamin from Mean Girls performed by Kendra Moore. 
  • “Not Just Derivatives and Function or Whatever” by Tara Meddaugh performed by Niko Simmons. 
  • “Tonight at Eight” by Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock from She Loves Me, performed by Dhir Patel. 
  • “Good Kid” by Rob Rokicki from The Lightning Thief performed by Rodney Montinard. 
  • “Friendship” by Cole Porter from Anything Goes performed by Nayla Charmant, Aiden Molloy Lamonda, Rodney Montinard, and Luna Toledo. 
  • “Say the Word” by Kait Kerrigan and Bree Lowdermilk from The Mad Ones performed by Carmen Sautelet. 
  • “Home” by Eddie Perfect from Beetlejuice performed by Eliza Rund. 
  • “Beautiful” by Adan Gwon from Ordinary Days performed by Dhir Patel and Savannah Sousa. 

Then ended off with the traditional bow. The Holbrook Middle-High School’s musical theater department did an amazing job with their performance, congratulations to all of them!
