Mental Health of Students
With the COVID pandemic raging on for about a year, mental health is certainly an issue that should not be sneezed at. CBN reporter Natalie Holbrook interviewed a few students and teachers to get their takes on mental health during the Covid pandemic. Students seemed to have some trouble with the ever-changing routine caused by the Covid pandemic and struggle with time management which has caused some stress during the 2020-2021 school year. While some students struggled, others have in fact thrived, reporting better mental health than non-Covid years. Students also reported learning that speaking out and asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. Teachers reported that though they found it tough not seeing every one of their students difficult, they found themselves appreciating those close to them, such as their families, more than ever. They also urged students to talk to someone if they are struggling with their mental health.
