Holbrook Middle High School’s Gender Sexuality Alliance, or GSA, has recently opened their coalition to middle school students. Since its formation at HMHS, the GSA had only tailored to students in 9th through 12th grade, as it was believed that many of the topics were too mature for younger students.
As the years have progressed, however, the importance of LGBTQ+ education continues to be displayed, encouraging the prospect of opening up this club to our younger classmates. Given the impact middle school has on one’s development, there truly is no better time to advocate for inclusivity in an educational, influential, and welcoming environment.
