The school has introduced a new music exploration class which allows students to learn instruments that they wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. The class is open to any student and is one of two highschool music electives offered (outside of band and chorus). The class itself teaches Ukulele and bucket drum along with lots of listening to music from around the world which encompasses “a little bit of everything” according to Mrs. Laprise, who teaches the class. The class also has students compose music themselves, and has been a great opportunity for students, especially those with disabilities, to experience music from around the world and learn the many aspects of music.
