Students Explore Options at College Fair

Holbrook Junior-Senior High School held a college fair for this school year’s juniors and seniors. The fair was held in the gymnasium on September 30th, where various colleges like Curry, Simmons, and Lesley University accommodated Holbrook students. Especially for the seniors, the fair helped to gather information and make final decisions before the college deadlines this fall. Admission officers from different colleges were more than willing to meet the students and the students themselves had their questions ready for the colleges they intended to visit.

The fair allowed the students to not only talk to the admission officers of their school of choice but also discover new ones. Senior Karyll Esperon says, “I’ve never even considered MCPHS (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences) and now it is my number one school!”

Esperon is planning to become a physician’s assistant in the future and the fair allowed her to meet with MCPHS which, she discovered, offered what she wanted and needed.
