Softball Team Defeats West Bridgewater in a Classic Finish

A big congratulations to the varsity softball team on their come from behind win over West Bridgewater on May 1. Down by two runs in the sixth inning, Holly Davis led off the inning getting hit by the pitch and Katelin Andrews followed with a single. Caroline Duggan singled, and with two outs, Lily Welch doubled, driving in two runs to take the lead 8-7.
Caroline Duggan and Lily Welch led the offense, with four hits each. Caroline Curtis picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight. Research shows that this is the first time in at least 20 years Holbrook has beaten West Bridgewater in softball – if you haven’t seen the girls play yet, there are lots of games coming up – stop by and check out a game!
