Boys and Girls Track Both Defeat Sacred Heart

The boys and girls track and field teams both defeated Sacred Heart yesterday. The boys won 74-58 and the girls won 108-26.

For the boys, Mike Blanc won shot put, Will Haney won javelin, 100 meter, and 200 meter, Alijaah Paul won high jump, long jump, and the 110 meter hurdles, Aidan Horgan won the 2 mile, and Shane Lemieux won the mile.

For the girls, Selena Kigsin won shot put, Nani Luciano won javelin, Crixelda Joseph won discus, Cailey Mingolla won the 400 meter hurdles, Bridget Moore won the 800 meters, Rose Ferguson won the 400 meters. Ruby Ambroult won high jump, long jump, and the 100 meter hurdles, and Lucy Ambroult won the 100 meters, 200 meters, and triple jump, setting a new team record with a jump of 33 feet seven inches.

Lucy and Ruby were also on the winning 4×100 meter relay team with Emily Cochran and Hannah Altidor, and the 4 by 400 meter relay team of Bridget Moore, Dalice Rodriguez, Rose Ferguson, and Melanda Alcuis also won.
