The Spring Musical Will Send You Over the Rainbow
October 31, 2017
“The Wizard of Oz” has been announced as the spring musical for 2018. Auditions will be held on December 11th with callbacks on December 13th. Mrs. Paula Morgan, one of the directors, commented that she is “very excited to produce this musical and hopes that everyone else is too.” Her co-director, Mrs. Mary Clougher, said that they “must have gone through twenty-five different shows before choosing this one.” The team chose “The Wizard of Oz” because they believe it will be very memorable.
They also hope to incorporate students from both the John F. Kennedy and the Middle-High School. The students are just as enthusiastic about the performance as their directors. Senior Noah Hobart, says, “I’m actually quite excited. It’s going to be really fun. This is a great opportunity for the new building.”
The performances are scheduled for April 6th at 7 pm and April 7th at 2 pm and 7 pm. Following the auditions, the cast and crew will look forward to three months of rehearsals in preparation. According to Clougher, “This production will send you over the rainbow.”
