Homecoming Parade

Carrietta Jacques, Arts & Entertainment

After a week of festivities exemplifying Holbrook pride, the homecoming parade was not to be missed. The streets were flooded of students, buzzing with excitement for the upcoming homecoming dance.

Holbrook Middle-High School students in grades 9 through 12 worked tirelessly to create their float, hoping to beat each other out. Grade 9 rode down the streets towing a boat decorated with inspiring sea themed mottos and frills. Grade 10 filled their truck with an abundance of spirited banners and signs, along with countless balloons all coordinating to the colors representing HMHS. The juniors quickly pulled together a float consisting of yet another tremendous sign, raised high for all to see, even building a balloon arch alongside it. Finally, the seniors made a huge entrance, quite literally and figuratively, arriving with their large pick up truck and appropriately phrased signs. In the end, it was the sophomore class who took the win as voted by those who attended the parade and soccer games.
