Lebron James Breaks All Time Scoring Record
February 8, 2023
Lebron James. King James. The GOAT. Lebron James has become the NBA’s all time leading scoring. Lebron James has been in the NBA for 20 seasons and ever since he has started playing in 2003, he has been dominate. He has been an All-Star every year besides his rookie year. He has won 4 championships, and he has won 4 MVPs. And just last night, on Februrary 7th, Lebron has done the impossible. Lebron James has broken the NBA all-time scoring record by amassing an outstanding 38,390 points. The previous record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 points. He did this over 30 years ago and Lebron James, the kid from Akron has just beat the record. He got his 38,388 point by converting on a fade-away shot from midrange, one of the staples of his entire career. Lebron scored 38 points in the loss to Oklahoma City Thunder. This was just enough to break the record in this game. Lebron James has been the youngest player to reach all the thousand point milestones, and if he keeps up this pace he will be the only player to reach 39K and 40K. It is a huge accomplishment for Lebron and it has been incredible to watch him progress and become one of, if not, the best basketball player in the history of the sport. It is an honor to be able to watch him night in and night out perform at the highest level, even if he is one of the oldest players in the entire NBA. Congratulations to Lebron, his family, and his entire fanbase.
