Sony PS5: Pros and Cons

Kelvin Mungai, CBN Staff

The PS5 is the latest video game console released by Sony. It was released in November, 2020 and is the successor to the PS4. The PS5 is a powerful console that offers a number of significant improvements over its predecessor.

It features a custom AMD Zen 2 processor and a custom AMD RDNA 2 graphics card, allowing faster load times and more realistic graphics. It also includes a solid-state drive (SSD) for faster game loading, as well as support for ray tracing and 3D audio. The PS5 also comes with a number of new features, such as the DualSense controller, which provides haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, and the ability to play games at a higher frame rate and resolution. Overall, the PS5 is an extremely powerful console that offers a great gaming experience.

The problem is, because of how good this console is, it’s been challenging for people to get their hands on it. When it first was released, it sold out almost instantaneously and then began to resell from private sellers for extremely high prices, in some cases, even double the original price. As time has passed the PS5 has become more accessible and ready to purchase through some facets like store online websites, yet it’s still nearly impossible to find in stores. The production rate-to-demand ratio for the PS5 is far off, even to the point where if you wanted to currently buy one on Amazon, you would have to place a request to be put on a waiting list, just to be able to purchase it. The easiest place to buy a PS5 now is through the direct Sony website.

Hopefully, in the near future, the PS5 will become more easily accessible and the prices will become more reasonable from resellers.
