Impeachment with George
Trump has once again been impeached by the House of Representatives, but this time around he’s being impeached for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol. Our very own George Starr is here to report on the issue, interviewing the Mr. Espie to explain the process of impeachment a little more, explaining that it is the process by which elected officials can be held accountable for what are deemed to be high crimes and misdemeanors, being impeached in the house and tried in the senate. This is not a common occurrence, with it only happening to a president 4 times, with the presidents that were impeached being Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump twice. Richard Nixon was nearly impeached but resigned before the house could impeach him. None of these presidents were convicted in the senate, and we will have to wait and see if Trump will be the first.
