Football Team Wins First Game on New Field
October 10, 2018
Friday night football under the lights is a cliche that high schoolers love. As the first real home game in game in 3 years, many fans came to cheer on their friends, peers, or just cheering on their school colors.
Taking on Atlantis Charter, Holbrook-Avon scored a touchdown in overtime after playing to a 0-0 tie in regulation.
Scoring 6 points total, the team won their first home game of the season. Leading the team to victory was number 34, Aiden Centeno. Leading the team defensively was Alijaah Paul, with 10 tackles.
Coach Randy Grimmett says, “We have some stuff to work on but obviously we’re happy with the win.” As the first home game was a success, Holbrook-Avon hopes to continue winning.
